A partnership to increase the number of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people within the legal profession in the Northern Territory.
The Bilata Legal Pathways Program was established by Aboriginal lawyers and law students and currently receives no dedicated funding. Since we were established, we are pleased to see an increase in the number of Aboriginal students in law schools and greater exposure and connections for many of our mob, particularly our youth, to be inspired.
Our focus at present is to engage in activities where we have capacity and to seek program funding so we can achieve our objectives.
Support can also be provided by way of supporting the NAAJA International Fund which supports our participants with international opportunities. Please click here for further information.
